Kristen Bissinger, Co-Director/Dance Faculty, earned a BA in Dance and Drama from Colorado College.  She has taught creative dramatics and dance for the past thirty-five years in local private and public schools and through various cultural programs.  Kristen co-authored the book Leap into Learning! Teaching K-7 Curriculum through Creative Dramatics and Dance. She has currently released a musical recording and companion booklet Wake Your Brain and Your Body, Creative Movement and Dance Activities for Children. Karen Clemente, Co-Director/Dance Faculty, earned both a Master’s and a Doctorate degree in Dance Education from Temple University.   Karen founded the dance program at Eastern University, where she served as director for twenty two years.   In the fall of 2012, Karen will join the Theatre and Dance Program at Ursinus College as a Professor of Dance.  Karen has served the state of Pennsylvania in the area of developing academic standards for the arts and dance curriculum guidelines.  Her recent awards include: Outstanding Dance Educator for Higher Education by the National Dance Education Organization (2009), Creative Hands and Voices Award by the Neighborhood Interfaith Movement in Philadelphia (2010), and Professor of the Year at Eastern University (2012).  Karen has been teaching at Feet First since 1985.email: Karen@Feetfirstdance.com
Lisa Lovelace, Dance Faculty, earned a BA in Dance from the University of Maryland and a MFA in Choreography and Performance from Temple University.  Lisa has performed with Improvisations Unlimited, DanceTeller, Anne Vachon/Dance Conduit and was a co-founder of Sacred Ways Dance Company.  Lisa is on the dance faculty at West Chester University and teaches at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.  Lisa produces an intergenerational dance concert each year featuring choreographers and dancers from all over the region.  In the summer of 2012, she was the choreographer for Carmen at the Castleton Music Festival in VA with conductor Lorin Maazel.  Lisa has been teaching at Feet First since 1990.email: Lisa@Feetfirstdance.com
Julie Kurtz Chittick, Dance Faculty, earned a BA in Integrative Arts with a focus in Dance and Visual Arts from the Pennsylvania State University.  Julie has performed with Sacred Ways Dance Company and taught dance groups from Lehigh University and Cedar Crest College.  She has taught workshops for gymnastic centers and girl scouts, and most recently for ArtReach, part of the PA Cyber Charter School in Delaware County.  She has choreographed dances performed at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville as part of the annual Blobfest event.  Julie has been teaching at Feet First since 1995.email: Julie@Feetfirstdance.com
Toni Duncan, Dance Faculty, earned a BA in Dance and a BS in Marketing from DeSales University.  She has taught ballet, creative movement, modern, pointe and tap at local studios since 1998. Toni has been a full time dance faculty member at the PA Leadership Charter School – Center for Performing and Fine Arts since 2011.  In 2012, Toni was accepted into the National Registry of Dance Educators as an Associate Registered Dance Educator.  She earned her Pilates Mat Certification through the PhysicalMind Institute in August 2005 and her Children’s Yoga Certification through Child Light Yoga in 2010.  Toni has been teaching at Feet First since 1999.email: Toni@Feetfirstdance.com
james daring James Daring, Dance Faculty,  is our new Saturday Hip-Hop teacher. He will be teaching Hip-Hop 1A (new students), Hip-Hop for boys and our Teen/Adult Beginner Hip-Hop class. James is from Brooklyn, New York and he has had much experience in the dance genre of Hip-Hop. James is a Dance major at Ursinus College and he is excited to share his expertise with the students of Feet First.
Sarah Scorzetti, Dance Faculty, earned a B.S. in Elementary, Special, and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Dance from Eastern University. Currently, she is an intervention assistant at Oak Ridge Elementary School in Harleysville.  Sarah has been teaching at Feet First since 2012.email: Sarah@Feetfirstdance.com
Kelsey Patrick, Office Administrator/Dance Faculty, earned a BA in Dance from Eastern University.  While at Eastern, Kelsey was active in the dance community, serving as the President of the Dance Guild for two years. She has been teaching Hip-Hop, Jazz, Modern, and Ballet at Philadelphia area dance studios since graduation. Kelsey was a dancer with Contempra Dance Theatre for 3 years. She currently dances for Melange Contemporary Dance Company. Kelsey’s dance training began at Feet First when she was six years old and she is thrilled to be returning as both teacher and office administrator.  Kelsey has been teaching at Feet First since 2012.email: Kelsey@Feetfirstdance.com
