Kristen Bissinger, Co-Director earned a BA in Dance and Drama from Colorado College. She has taught creative dramatics and dance for the past Thirty years in local private and public schools and through various cultural programs. Kristen co-authored the book Leap into Learning! Karen Clemente, Co-Director earned both a Master of Education and a Doctor of Education in Dance from Temple University. Karen is a professor at Eastern University in St. David’s, where she is the Dance Program Coordinator and Director of the Eastern University Sacred Dance Group. Karen was named Outstanding Dance Educator for Higher Education by the National Dance Education Organization in 2009. Toni Duncan, Marketing Director earned a BA in Dance and a BS in Marketing from DeSales University. She has taught ballet, creative movement, modern, pointe and tap at local studios for the past fourteen years. She earned her Pilates Mat Certification through the PhysicalMind Institute in August 2005 and has been teaching Pilates at the Phoenixville YMCA for the past 5 years. This is Toni’s twelfth year with Feet First. She is currently a dance faculty member at the PA Leadership Charter School-Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Lisa Lovelace earned a BA in Dance from the University of Maryland and a MFA in Dance from Temple University. Lisa has performed with Improvisations Unlimited, DanceTeller, Anne Vachon/Dance Conduit and was a co-founder of Sacred Ways Dance Company. Lisa is on the dance faculty at West Chester University and teaches at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. Lisa produces an intergenerational dance concert each year featuring choreographers and dancers from all over the region. Julie Kurtz Chittick earned a BA in Integrated Arts with a focus in Dance and Visual Arts from Pennsylvania State University. She has taught dance in the Lehigh Valley area including Lehigh University and Cedar Crest College. Julie has also taught for ArtReach for the PA Cyber Charter School. Julie has danced with Sacred Ways Dance Company and has taught workshops for the Parkettes Training Center and for the Great Valley Girl Scout Council. Kelli Paul earned a BA in Dance from Eastern University and has worked with DanceFusion in Philadelphia. Kelli earned a Master’s in Arts Administration from Drexel University. She has trained in tap with Tommy Sutton, Diane Walker and Savion Glover and has also won a National Championship in tap. Hannah Nolan-Focht earned a BA in Psychology and a minor in Dance from Eastern University. She has choreographed and produced shows for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival with the Look Closer Company. This is Hannah’s fourth year with Feet First.email: Hannah at Feetfirstdance.com |

Janine Bryant is on the dance faculty at both Eastern University and Montgomery County Community College. She has been teaching technique and choreographing classical and contemporary ballets for more than twenty years. She received her B.F.A. in Modern Dance from the University of the Arts and has trained at both the Martha Graham school in New York City and at the Royal Academy of Dancing in London. She has been a frequent guest lecturer at The University of the Arts where she received their prestigious Silver Star Alumni Award in 1996. Janine will be a guest teaching artist at Feet First this year. |

Heather Mahurin has a Bachelor of Arts in dance from Eastern University (May 2011). While at Eastern, Heather completed an internship and performed with Gwendolyn Bye’s Dancefusion of Philadelphia. Currently, Heather is the co-director of the Dance Ministry program at Fairview Village Church of the Nazarene. She is also on staff as a ballet teacher at the Kristina Pulcini Ballet Academy in Havertown, PA. This is Heather’s first year at Feet First. |

KRISTIN GIANOUKAS is currently a senior at Eastern University, where she will be graduating with a BA in Dance in May, 2012. She danced with a company, MKTap, in 2009 and in 2010, her choreography was chosen to represent Eastern University at the American College Dance Festival Association. Kristin is also a member of the dance ministry team at Fairview Village Church in Eagleville, Pa. This is Kristin’s first year with Feet First. |

Harini Shankam Dwarakanath started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 8 under the guidance of Smt. Leelavathi Dwarakanath in India. She continued her dance training with the discipline of Smt & Sri. Nandini Shivaprakash. She has given many performances all over India in several dance festivals , Sri Ganesh Utsav, Folk Festivals, Hampi Utsav and on Doordarshan TV. She has won in several dance competitions conducted by the Cultural Department of India and she was the recipient of Sri Vaishnava Sabha Dance Scholarship. Harini has completed Junior, Senior and Visharad (Vidwat) exams in Bharatanatyam and has received Distinction in the Visharad Exam. She is a Business Management Graduate from the University of Kuvempu , India and has recently moved with her husband from India to the United States. This is Harini’s first year with Feet First |
