Here at Feet First our recitals tend to look a little bit different then other studios. We enjoy creating a dance show that the whole family can enjoy. Every other year we choose a story for all of our dance classes to follow. This tends to fall on the even years. This means that each of our dance classes would have a specific part in the story line, we cast dancers who come and audition for special parts, and we have VoiceOver narration that weaves through the dances to help us tell the story. It is a wonderful experience for our dancers. Our faculty always does an incredible job bringing these stories to life through dance with their versatile creativity. On the odd years, our studio chooses a theme for our classes to follow. This helps creates another cohesive show that the audience can follow and enjoy.
2026 Recital Information
Our 2025-2026 recital will be Feet First Dance Presents: Our Journey to Narnia
Our recital will be held at the Phoenixville Area Middle School located at 1000 Purple Pride Parkway Phoenixville PA 19460.
Instructions for the Phoenixville Area Middle School Theater and Lobby area:
Eating and drinking is not allowed in the theater. All eating is confined to the lobby area/cafeteria.
Eating should never be done in costume; large shirts or t-shirts must be completely covering the costume, in order for a dancer to eat while wearing one. The best plan is to eat in rehearsal clothing.
The lobby and cafeteria is not a play area. We are renting this space, and we should treat it as if it’s our own. That means we are not climbing on tables or chairs. We are not leaving the bathroom a mess and we are cleaning up after ourselves.
Report areas: During tech, dancers should report to the Phoenixville Area Middle School for all rehearsals (Friday May 1st, Saturday May 2nd, Sunday May 3rd). Dancers should report 15-20 minutes early for their scheduled tech rehearsal. Dancers should report to the theater at 12pm on Sunday for dress rehearsal. During the performances, dancers should report to the designated dressing rooms an hour before the beginning of the show. Call time for Saturday May 9th is 5:00pm and call time for Sunday May 10th is 12:00pm.
Parents are needed to volunteer for backstage assistance. If you volunteer for one show, you will receive a complimentary ticket for the other show. Parents who volunteer to help must be available for dress rehearsal as well. Please make sure we have a copy of your PA clearances if you are volunteering. Volunteering is on a first come first serve basis. Find out how you can become a backstage parent or volunteer by clicking the tabs below.
